Yesterday Mitch Goldstein (who if you have twitter and don’t follow, you need to NOW) tweeted this video and I just wanted to share it with you because it made me smile:
FYI, I’m a Graphic Designer. Apparently it’s a ‘cool’ job? We’re so creative and mysterious – who even knows what we do all day? Menus and logos and things like that. Pamphlets and DJ flyers. Logos, stationery and soap. Letterheads and logotypes. We’re pretty handy with Photoshop. We love to draw, with markers. You ask us to redesign your logo; we draw a squiggle in 5 mins and charge £100,000. 
I can’t say that I’ve watched any of the films/TV programmes that those quotes have been in (but I do recognise Gilmore Girls and Peep Show though!) – they all look quite old now? I don’t think I can even remember watching a film/TV programme with a Graphic Designer character in. Can you think of any?
